Isis Gives Back

17 12 2010

Not only does Affairs of Isis enjoy hosting events within the entertaiment industry, she is passionate about civil change and community service. On Monday December 20, 2010 at 7:30am, Isis along with a childhood friend Anjelica Hill has planned a college panel for Willingboro High School in Willingboro, New Jersey. Willingboro High School (93% African American) is apart of our nations fallen school systems. Willingboro High School is most known for its notable athletes producted from the sports program and talented performing arts students but fails to be recognized for academics. With budget cuts yearly, lack of passion from the teachers/faculty, and children who are confused we decided to pull together as a community and Give Back!

Through the college/university panel we will present to the students what life after high school is about through the eyes of recent college graduates or current college students.  The students will receive from participants a personal testament of the school’s culture (something that they may miss attending a college fair).  We will stress that life after high school is real and it’s always smarter to have a plan!

The panelist/participants include:

Anjelica Hill – Hampton University (event coordinator), Danielle P. Jeter – Spelman College, Kendra James – Temple University, Gianni Lee – Temple University, Marcus Goode – Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Shanelle Dennis – Howard University, Tiffany Price – North Carolina A & T University, Erin Lawson – Neumann University, Cato Frontline Music Group (Host), and DJ Royal T.

We ask that you all, graduates of Willingboro High School come out and support the college panel. We want the presence of the community there in support of our youth! Even if you did not attend Willingboro High School, will be in the area, and is passionate about civil change please come out!

Special thank you to Willingboro High School faculty, Mrs. Bright (school counselor), and Gaetano’s Steaks for event sponsorship.

See you Monday and thank you for all the support.
